The DVTTA was founded and table tennis has flourished at the Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre since the building was constructed and opened in the mid 1970’s. Currently, due to renovations, our competition has temporarily relocated to the Diamond Creek Community Centre (28 Main Hurstbridge Rd; across from the pub).
The Association runs three senior pennants each year on Monday to Thursday nights with a 7.00 pm start. Approximately 150 players compete throughout each year. The Association runs various grades and formats each pennant season catering for all levels of ability and experience. The two person handicap format on Thursdays is very family orientated and is excellent for those wanting an early night, or just starting their competitive table tennis careers, as it tends to finish before 9.00 pm.
Practice is available on Sunday mornings between 10.00 am and noon for just $5. Everyone welcome. Coaching is available for an additional fee.
The DVTTA treats table tennis as an equal opportunity sport. Our teams are mixed in both age and gender, across all competitions, as teams and players are simply graded by ability. Our youngest player is in his early teens and our oldest competitor is mid 80’s and still playing at a high standard.
Table Tennis is clearly a sport for everyone.
